II. Scribbles (2023)

School Project

Scribbles is a short looping animation that explores the anxious nature of standing out and the unspoken feelings of a school pupil reluctant to raise their hand in class. It captures the perspective of a frustrated yet hopeful child, offering an intimate glimpse into their internal world. Pathos drives the narrative, emphasizing the emotional tension of wanting to be heard but fearing judgment.

The work began with preliminary sketches, and the notebook-inspired background was designed in InDesign. The animation itself was created using traditional stop-motion techniques and finalized in Photoshop, combining tactile and digital processes to enhance its expressive quality.
