III. Metamorphoses (2024)

Reflective Publication

135 x 200 mm

An editorial experiment and reflective publication, pairing myth with contemporary visuals to explore transformation, creative regeneration, and the cyclical nature of storytelling.

Inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses, this project explores transformation as a timeless force — moving from myth to modernity, from poetry to pop. The A5 publication functions as a catalog, where classical myths meet contemporary icons from art, film, and culture. Each spread pairs ancient narratives with modern visuals, tracing how creativity continually regenerates by borrowing from the past — mirrored today in AI’s recursive logic.

Opening and closing lines from Metamorphoses bookend the publication on tracing paper covers, framing the work as a cycle. Edited in InDesign and PhotoShop.

Experiments with combining visual references and testing paper types. Printed on semi-transparent 70g paper, the pages blur into one another. The process began with a visual scrapboard, gradually shaped into a flowing sequence of pairings and references.
